Founding Functional Pilates
Meet Becca Sheade

Becca is a licensed occupational therapist of 17 years. Becca worked with pediatrics the first 14 years of her career and owned and managed Elgin Pediatric Therapy, a multi-disciplinary clinic. After sustaining and rehabbing from a significant knee injury, using Pilates principles, she moved into the ortho space. Becca studied Pilates at The Lab in Chicago in 2023. Becca has a specialty interest of working with people in perimenopause and menopause and finished the Buff Bones certification as well as PCES to work with prenatal and postnatal mothers. Becca firmly believes that movement is medicine and can be used to improve mental, physical and spiritual health. Pilates and therapy can be used to prevent the impact of aging, to rehabilitate from injuries and to manage and reduce pain through lengthening and strengthening.
